Our farm development has been a journey of defiance, independence, and self-discovery. Working for Corporate America, I was surrounded by a life of labor and limitations. People doubted my ability to succeed when I decided to leave, calling it a foolish dream to try and build a farm from scratch. The road was rough. Land was scarce, resources were minimal, and the weight of skepticism bore down heavily on me. Yet, against all odds, I built something tangible, rooted in hard work, resilience, and a refusal to accept the confines of my past. What I did not expect was how the process of leaving my job would transform me, how breaking away from the suffocating limitations would lead to a deeper understanding of myself and my capacity to thrive. The farm become more than just a means of survival. It is a symbol of liberation, growth, and the power of carving out one’s destiny in the face of adversity. The people who once called me crazy are now left to watch as I flourish in a way they could never have imagined.
