https://patreon.com/starskycarr It's definitely a lab because experimentation is key. The Voltage Lab 2 encourages you to dig a little deeper every time. Pittsburgh Modular have got this one bang on... the results are stunning. The oscillators can sounds as grungy as you want. Those harmonics just keep on coming until you're faced with a sonic wall of jagged spikes. The temptation is to go over the top, whereas with most it's hard to get 20% there. In this I demo some of the more hidden functions and give some ideas to get the most out of it. Like patching the ocillators into each other, or using the function generators to control the LPG essentially giving us a 'standard' VCF. Then there's some hidden stuff in the touch controller, like per step parameter locking using the blue CV channel, or per step chance by setting the chance to 100% and patching chance into the blue channel... now the blue CV is per step chance. Cool stuff. A huge thanks to Perfect Circuit for sponsoring the video Perfect Circuit https://www.pjtra.com/t/SENKTExLTUtDSEpJR0ZGQ0hJTUZHTA I've made wavetables of the oscillators - 52 in all, sampled at 2048 samples per cycle and 128 samples per twist of the big knob. https://www.starskycarr.com/patches/p/voltagelab2wavetables Demo of the pack: https://youtu.be/5-LhR6Qy2LI Other places you’ll find me: ► Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/starskycarr ► Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/starskycarr ► Twitter: http://www.twitter.com/starskycarr ► Bandcamp https://starskycarr.bandcamp.com/releases ► Clubbing TV From the Studio: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLYIYEC4M53KQs4FeYpCY51sHxoK2l2Z0O 0:00 Demo#1 VCO2 into VCO1 timbre 4:43 Use LPG ans VCF 5:14 Use FG as Envelope 5:55 Use Blue CV anywhere 6:41 Dynamic Controllers as Mixers 9:29 #Demo2 Semi Random Sequences 10:23 Non-Repeating Patterns with Probability 10:36 Chance with Note Variation 13:38 About the Touch Controller 2 14:24 Touch Controller as Standard Keyboard 16:07 Demo#3 Just Because with the Perkons 17:11 Scan for interesting rhythmic steps 17:52 Demo#4 Harp-Like Seq Scanning the Steps 18:56 Use Chance for Step-Like Parameter Locks 19:22 Patch from Scratch 21:36 Change Step Length 23:42 Demo#5 That one with the Ring Mod 25:13 Chance for Semi-Random Sequences #voltagelab2 #review #demo @pittsburghmodular
