In the past we have heavily criticised the quality of Giant frames. However this proves they can do it if they want to. This Giant TCR Advanced SL sill had a couple of minor niggles, but the fundamentals were great. The bottom bracket was clean, well made, smooth and perfectly sized. The finishing kit is of high quality and appropriate to it's use. The brake mounts had the slightest bit of a paint lip where the mask was removed, and the rear brake bolt hole had a flash of carbon preventing its proper use. It is weird that was not picked up in the QC stage. The paintwork and clearcoat is good too.
In all this is probably one of the best value pro level bikes out there right now in terms of build quality. It could do with some lighter thru axles and better quality headset bearings, but these are low value items and easily upgraded.
