In this podcast, we meet Prashant, whose father was his strong support in trading.
After completing 12th grade, Prashant went to London and while working there, he learned about the stock market from a friend, which sparked his interest in it. Around 6-7 months before Covid, his father had a heart attack, leading to a deterioration in their family's financial condition.
When Prashant told his father about Zerodha, his father started trading, and initially, he made a profit of up to 10k. However, things took a turn for the worse when he borrowed 1 lakh from his friend and faced a loss in option buying. As a result, he lost the entire 1 lakh.
After that, Prashant returned from London, learned more about trading, and started trading again. Initially, he made profits, but when he borrowed money from his friend, he started experiencing losses and went back to London.
When he couldn't pay his fees, he returned home and then worked as a fitness trainer in Mumbai while continuing to learn about trading.
Later, a friend from Pune provided significant help and even gave 1 lakh rupees for trading. With that money, they continued trading and at one point he gradually started becoming profitable.
