In this video, I share a revolutionary way of growing strawberries that will change your life! Before I discovered this strawberry growing method, I was wasting space growing fruit trees. The space between my fruit trees was occupied with mulch only. I decided to make use of that space by planting strawberries between fruit trees, doubling my harvest in the same space by growing fruit under fruit! This brilliant gardening method doubles the amount of growing space in your yard, but it also benefits the strawberry plants and fruit trees by creating a symbiotic relationship. Because the strawberry roots occupy a different soil layer than the tree roots, they do not directly compete. Instead, the strawberry plants act as living ground cover for the fruit trees, cooling the roots and mulching the area as they shed leaves. The fruit tree canopy benefits the strawberries by providing shade during summer heat. The result is a companion planting relationship that doubles your harvest in the same space!
