When you think of superheroes and animated series’, dark moments aren’t the first that comes to mind however, they are very much there. Today we’ll be looking at dark moments from the 1994 Fantastic 4 animated series. The Fantastic Four adaptations have, for the most part, getting the set-up from creators Stan Lee and Jack Kirby right, and this is the case for the 1994-95 show. It follows our pals board an experimental spaceship, get bombarded with cosmic rays and return to Earth changed. Mr. Fantastic is the pliable version of Reed Richards, the group's cerebral leader in this one. Sue Storm, or, in this case, Sue Richards, his wife, takes on the role of The Invisible Woman. Johnny, Sue's brother, transforms into the Human Torch, a fire-breathing superhero. Finally, Ben Grimm, who gets incredible power and invulnerability as The Thing but must endure having his body transformed into a pile of orange rock, is the most sympathetic figure.
