When playing multi-way pots, you should bet less frequently and use a smaller bet size. You will rarely have the range and nut advantage to justify a larger bet. Additionally, since protection is more important in multi-way pots due to the wider range of hands, a smaller bet can still make your opponents fold hands that will still have equity against you.
