In this build series, I am working with Cliff Hall, a toolmaker from New Zealand. Cliff has invented a thread milling attachment for a knee mill that allows for cutting both internal and external threads of both metric and imperial pitches. It can be mounted on the rear edge of the XY table of a Bridgeport style mill and it is entirely manually operated. In this episode:
* Workshop visit with John Creasey. @CreaseysWorkshop
* A few final details like the chuck locking screw connection and chip cover assemblies
* Making the thread milling flycutter and tool bit.
* Metal finishing processes like parkerising, powder coating and some zinc plated parts with black chromate finish.
