...I know I've covered it before but I get the impression that it might seem a little daunting to some of you so I wanted to reassure you & try & get over how easy it actually is.

...Infact I'd say it's no harder three ply braiding at all in that there's only two procedures involved & its just a matter of repeating them. It can feel strange at first, as does everything, but through repetition comes familiarity.

...The fool proof method I discovered for this was to use three separate colours to start so you can clearly see the order the strands need to be in. After a while you'll start to notice a pattern developing & I'm not talking about how the cord looks, I'm talking about the repetitive two step process involved in making the cord.

...I'd Love to see some more of you having a bash at this & I'd be absolutely stoked if @nwprimate made himself a three ply natural cord to make his bow fully primitive when he slocks his first deer. I know he likes to use only local sourced materials, if at all possible, so I'm thinking maybe a three ply nettle string might work especially if you used retted fibres then waxed it well after. Failing That his road kill deer hide would definitely work or an outdoor weed grow, if he happened to stumble across one (for the fibres obviously)
