The Bob's bit's is an exceptionally simple but extremely effective reservoir dry fly that takes countless fish each season. You can fish the Bob's Bits as a single dry fly or as part of a team. It can be fished dry, damp or left to sink as part of a dry fly team. Personally, it's always part of any dry fly cast that I use, whether with a Shuttlecock, a Hopper or even a large foam Daddy as the point fly.
In this video I tie four different versions that each have their merits, whether that's the simplicity of tying or how they 'match the hatch.' Each of them catch a lot of fish regardless of which one you fish! It's worthwhile watching the whole video because I explain fishing situations, colours and sizes and, how I use them. However, I have also added chapters for the impatient 😁

Originally tied by an angler named, Bob Worts. It was designed to imitate small green buzzers that he observed on his local water, Grafham. It's called Bob's Bits, since he was alleged to have used 'bits' from an old fishing jumper to create the body.
I've referenced some of the videos that have provided inspiration for the flies. Make sure you take a look at the Channels and videos mentioned. The information provided is gold dust:
