This is especially true for difficult tire / difficult rim combinations. • Make sure all air is removed from the tube if using clincher tires by pressing the tire on the floor as you tape the Presta valve. • Press the valve up into the tire and make sure it moves freely. Move the bead away from the rim starting at the valve and shaking the tire to the center of the rim. • This should give you enough room to insert a tire lever under the lip of the tire. Use a strong plastic lever such as Pedro Tire Lever which is less likely to break or scratch the rim surface. • Install 2 MORE levers about 1 1/2 inches apart. Press all three levers together and the tyre bead should pop off of the rim. • A useful hack to remove the rest of the bead and protect your hand should it slip, push the tire lever using the hand that crosses over the tire as in the video. • Finish removal by removing the tube (if working with a clincher tube) as in the video. Finally, remove the tire by pulling the tire bead up and over the rim and then pushing down (start with the bead that's still in the rim as in the video).
