In this BARGAD interview The Lallantop Editor Saurabh Dwivedi talks to popular and critically acclaimed film writer and director Tigmanshu Dhulia. He is adored for movies like Paan Singh Tomar, Haasil, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster, Star Bestsellers (TV Series); known for his iconic work as casting director for Shekhar Kapoor's Bandit Queen; and liked for his acting in Gangs of Wasseypur (Ramadhir Singh), Hero and Zero (Shah Rukh's father). Tigmanshu talks about his dream project with Irrfan titled Killing Of A Porn Filmmaker about racism, politics and philosophy which couldn't be complete. Also a magnum opus historical film Gulami that he started with Sunny Deol and Irrfan Khan but couldn't complete it. A commercial masala film titled Showman with Govinda which was almost complete but couldn't be finished. Tigmanshu tells us the best Irrfan Khan acting ever and Irrfan playing Lenin in a play that he got glued to the first time he saw. He tells us about the making of Bandit Queen, Haasil, Paan Singh Tomer, Mani Ratnam's Dil Se, his tv show Hum Bumbai Nahi Jayenge, Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster and Charas. He also talks about his amazing love story and marriage with Tulika, his childhood, family, father, the memorable days of growing up in Allahabad, forming a rock band in college titled Paranoid, his days in National School Of Drama (NSD) where he used to hold strikes and friendship with Sanjay Mishra, Irrfan Khan, Rajeev Gupta, Brijendra Kala. Tigmanshu Dhulia talks about the upcoming web series including the earlier Criminal Justice.
