Hey Fig Fam,
Back at it with the coldest days of winter behind us and now we get to warm up and anticipiate the spring pop of fig growth on our trees. That being said here are some important tips to use to help guide your tree. Fig trees will naturally grow on their own, but you can expedite the time it takes to grow to maturity and quantity of fruit on them by pruning them efficiently! Check it out and reach out with any questions. Thank you for your time!
These are the pruners I use:
Feclo 5:

After you prune this is a great time to use a plant guard to help your trees recover quickly and make sure to use the good stuff that is organic. This stuff not only protects but allows for respiration so the tree can keep growing as it wants! I'm going to do an episode next week on how I apply it to my trees during this time of year when the sun is higher in the sky and the trees are pruned and exposed to full sun.
