This tinnitus blocker noise masking sound is focused at 3700Hz and could help some listeners relieve ringing if it is close to this frequency range.
The concept is based on disrupting ringing in one's head by introducing a new sound, noise in this case, to distract the mind away from the ringing. Some contemporary research on "T" suggests the mind is auto completing the ringing well after the damage has occurred. There are custom sounds created for individuals by audio therapists for this purpose.
Some listeners have commented their ringing is in this 3.7kHz range and this creation is an attempt to offer relief to those people.
There is no cure for tinnitus and other listening afflictions at this time. This could offer a little relief, perhaps by one third.
Listening at low volume is best and headphones are not necessary. While some listeners listen overnight while sleeping, others listen for 20-60 minutes in the daytime.
