Here is the Legendary Baritone, Mr. Tita ruffo, singing Largo al Factotum from about 1904-05 on an early 90RPM Pathe Center Start Record, played with the patented Pathe sapphire Ball stylus. Ruffo's very first recording's were for Pathe, before he recorded for both the Gramophone and Typewriter Co. of Great Britain, and also the Victor Talking Machine Co. of the U.S.A beginning in 1906. The Phonograph is a Solophone model 5 from the late 19 teens. It was capable of playing both lateral Groove Records, and also Hill and Dale (vertical) Groove Records, but adjusting the reproducer to the correct position
