Moinaporiya Bornamghar Or Moina Poria Naamghar
Namghar which is a spiritual place or prayer house or community prayer hall for Assamese peoples. It was introduced in Assam by the Vaishnavite saints Damodaradeva, Srimanta Sankaradeva and Srimanta Madhavadeva for Assamese people where they can culture and practice naam (devotional songs) and Bhakti of God (devotion). There are several Namghars available in various parts of all over Assam.
Situated at the Moina Poria village of Jorhat district of Assam, Moina Poria Namghar is one of the famous Naamghar in Upper Assam.
🧿 ESTABLISHED:
Established in the 17th century by few peoples which are migrated from the bank of river Mornoi and thus the naamghar named as Moina Poria naamghar. This naamghar has a very strong management committee. The villagers keep the premises very neat and clean
🧿LOCATION:
One can easily reach the naamghar from Jorhat town. It is in Ladoigarh which is just 12 Km from Jorhat town towards Sivsagar.
