ToeJam & Earl was an incredible cult hit of the 1990s. Released for the Sega Genesis around the same time as Sonic, the game was a hilarious way that the upstart console broke boundaries, introduced new players to the Roguelike genre (yes, really), and started a franchise that has lasted three decades.

Most of you are probably familiar with the first game, but did you know that it spawned three sequels, a minigame, and maybe a full-fledged movie?

That’s right. For more on the trials and tribulation of ToeJam & Earl, and to relieve you favorite game, watch on. Let’s go to Funkotron!
