The Tokyo Marathon is incredible. I ran for charity (Tokyo Marathon Sports Legacy Program 2) to support education work for areas stricken by Great East Japan Earthquake (Iwate, Miyagi, Fukushima).
The atmosphere was great and people cheered us on every single meter of the course. This fantastic support helped me to finish in 3:12:31 (Personal Best, more than 5 minutes faster than in Chicago 2024).
Arndt Wittrock ran a 3:11:18 on Malta last week. I tried to run faster, but it seems that the first half was to slow. Congrats to Arndt!
This was my fifth World Major Marathon for the second six-star medal. Finally, London comes in 8 weeks…
