Elias Ransome (Stephen Courtleigh) brings his band of religious emigrants to the outskirts of Tombstone. They get no farther, because an intolerant rancher stirs up agitation against the newcomers settling in the town. The tension threatens to cause to battle. To maintain the peace and prevent bloodshed, Sheriff Hollister (Pat Conway) moves to turn Ransome's people away from the town. Editor Claibourne (Richard Eastham) pleads with Tombstone's people to show religious tolerance. The women of Tombstone take the explosive issue into their own hands.
