Super Smash Bros. has always been a crossover fighter, from Smash 64 to Smash Ultimate, which means that moves are usually coming from their home series into Smash. Link's Spin Attack, Kirby's Inhale, Sora's Sonic Blade, the bases are all covered. Because of just how huge and influential a series Smash is, though, every once in a while the opposite manages to happen...a move is invented for Smash first, and THEN it makes its way back to its home series.
