Uncle Scrooge, the richest and stingiest duck in the world, first appeared in 1947 as Donald Duck's side character created by comics master Carl Barks who soon became one of the main characters in Duckburg, the one that collects more money and protects them from various enemies. He's always been the richest fictional character for me, although there's always a lot of debate about who is the richest (Black Panther, Vandal Savage, Smaug…) #20 Comic relief bandit character from Ducktales and #10's henchman who wished Scrooge's fortune for himself from the genie. #19 Scrooge's first enemy, a master thief posing as a trustworthy janitor and tried to scare the ducks away using invisibility spray in the story "The Old Castle's Secret". #18 The witch who cursed Scrooge the first and only time he used illegal means. This taught him that crime doesn't pay. #17 The clever raven and #2 closest sidekick who is good at robbing and spying. According to Ducktales, he was originally #2's brother who turned into a bird. #16 The butler, driver and #4's right hand man. often involved in plots and finally when the plots go wrong he gives his master a hat to eat. #15 old pirate and dangerous treasure hunter, the first main enemy in Ducktales. #14 a traditional mad scientist with plans for world conquest and duck robots for sidekicks. He also has the ability to make others generous so he is a big threat to Scrooge. Yet he's more of an enemy to Donald. #13 The comic book answer to the legendary Western con artist Soapy Smith. Scrooge's Klondike-era con man and loan shark who worked with #8 to cheat others out of gold. Some consider him to be the same character as #5 but he's much older. #12 A rich con-man who claimed Scrooge's property through an old contract, because the ship didn't deliver the required cargo. The character has been used occasionally in later stories too. #11 A zombie character created by Barks who has played a major role in Don Rosa's stories as undead pursuer of young Scrooge. He even caused the sinking of the Titanic by chasing him. #10 Disney's Jafar before Jafar. A shape-shifting wizard who chases a magic lamp as a rival to Scrooge in the Ducktales movie. #9 Matriarch of a crime family, in a minor role in comics but a major role in Ducktales. #8 Scooge's own "Catwoman". The one who tricked Scrooge and stole his gold in the Klondike. The only person Scrooge has ever loved besides his money. #7 The leader of the "FOWL" and the main enemy in the reboot version of Ducktales. He sees the Duck family as a chaotic and Scrooge's business empire evil one, which he fights against at all costs. #6 the patriarch of a crime family, who occasionally acts as gang leader. Because of him, Scrooge has become the enemy of the whole gang. #5 Rich con man, a pig-figure who has had many names over the years and who later became Argus. Enemy of Donald and one of Scrooge's main villains in earlier stories. #4 Scrooge's rich rival like #4 but not so ruthless, plots against Scrooge and every time he loses he eats his hat. The character is popular especially in European comics. #3 Scrooge's evil counterpart, an extreme rich South African rival like #3, but more ruthless, who has been turned into a Scot in the Ducktales. A lot of people see him as an archenemy which is okay. However, European authors have preferred #4 so this is why he is ranked 3. #2 An Italian wicked sorceress who lives on the slopes of Mount Vesuvius with the aim of stealing Scrooge's first dime, which she thinks will give her the Midas touch. She usually uses blast bombs and metamorphosis and is without a doubt the most dangerous opponent. #1 Scrooge's most common adversaries, a family of thugs intent on robbing what Scrooge holds most dear, his money. Usually consisting of three members called "176–167, 176–671 and 176-761" but also including many other thugs. Scrooge himself has often referred to them as his arch-enemies, so why shouldn't I believe him. So in this tight top 3 they take the number 1 spot.
