On the program for this second day I will take you with me to visit the dairy farm THE PRESENTATION of the Blanchette family. This dairy farm of around 400 milking cows built a new state-of-the-art barn ten years ago with 8 Lely A4 milking robots. David Blanchette offers us a tour of the owner and the greatest peculiarity of the farm is its tunnel-type forced air ventilation system. An adaptation is made according to the outside temperature, if it is hot the air comes from the sides, but if it is cold the sides are closed and the air comes from the roof. We have the chance to meet Marie who is French and LELY FMS technician in Quebec and she gives us her experience in the field which seems very enriching. To conclude, we head for the old stalls of tie-up types where the operator leaves a few cows under surveillance.
