Why it's difficult:
- Most people are afraid to show weakness. Most candidates say they have never failed!
Why are they asking you this question?
- It assesses honesty.
- It assesses whether you take responsibility, learn, and bounce back.
Examples of failing:
- Not studying enough for a workplace training course, and you fail the exam.
- Sending incorrect pricing information to a customer.

Why it's difficult:
- If you're too honest, you risk disqualifying yourself.
- If you say you are a perfectionist, or you don’t have a weakness, you will not get hired.

Why it's difficult:
You must give unique reasons why they should hire you!
It’s a hard question because you don’t know the other candidates’ unique selling points.

Can you add genuine value to the role and bring something different to everyone else?

Why it's difficult:
- There is a temptation to say you would ignore them or ask your manager to deal with any conflict that occurs – do not say either of those things!
Why are they asking you this question?
- They want to know if you can stay productive, demonstrate emotional intelligence, and be team-focused despite differences in personalities.

- Don’t fall into the trap of saying your manager would say lots of brilliant things about you.
- You must balance your answer with praise and improvements.
