Pete Donnelly has been a wheelchair user since the age of 19, when he broke his back in a motorcycle accident.
Two years ago he travelled overland from Bangladesh back to the UK to raise money for charity.
He now works as a wheelchair skills adviser for the charity Back Up, which aims to help those who have suffered spinal cord injuries.
Here he demonstrates how to make the most of your wheelchair.

UPDATE - DEC 2015 I'm so glad that, judging from the comments, this video has been useful to people. I filmed the piece but would direct people to The Back Up website for more information. They also offer wheelchair skills training in London - http://www.backuptrust.org.uk/home
