東京都葛飾区柴又にある帝釈天をお参りさせて頂きました。
「男はつらいよ」シリーズで渥美清さんが演じた「フーテンの寅」こと寅さん（車寅次郎）の故郷であり、
圧倒的な美しさを誇る数々の彫刻で有名です。

帝釈天の境内及び参道、矢切の渡がある河川敷の風景は「男はつらいよ」シリーズでお馴染みの風景で
なぜか懐かしく、自分自身が故郷に帰ってきたような気がしてしまいました。
境内にある建築物にそれぞれ貴重な美しい彫刻が施されていますが、
特に帝釈堂内陣の外側にある「「法華経説話」が描かれた１０枚の胴羽目彫刻は圧倒的な美しさを誇ります。
見応えのある彫刻群と美しい境内、そして葛飾柴又の風景をお楽しみください。
I visited Taishakuten Temple in Shibamata, Katsushika Ward, Tokyo.
It is the hometown of Tora-san (Tora-san), also known as "Tora the Vagabond" (Tora-san), played by Kiyoshi Atsumi in the "Otoko wa Tsurai yo" series, and is famous for its overwhelmingly beautiful sculptures.
The scenery of the grounds of Taishakuten Temple, the approach to the temple, and the riverbed with Yagiri-no-Watashi is familiar from the "Otoko wa Tsurai yo" series, and for some reason it felt nostalgic, and I felt like I was back home.
Each building in the temple grounds is decorated with precious and beautiful sculptures, but the 10 carved panels on the outside of the inner sanctuary of Taishaku-do, depicting stories from the Lotus Sutra, are particularly stunning.
