The 2025 Toyota Camry represents the start of the 13th generation of the venerable mid-size sedan. Yep, the Camry nameplate has been around for a very long time, dating back all the way to 1979. Over the years it has evolved from one generation to the next, with the new model a major upgrade of its best-selling successor.
These days the Camry is a popular choice among taxi and Uber drivers, so the next-gen four-door doesn't mess with its successful formula. That said, with no petrol V6 engine option anymore, it does debut Toyota's fifth-generation 'self-charging' series-parallel petrol-electric hybrid powertrain, promising better straight-line performance and even greater fuel efficiency.
