Ramadan in Iran is not just a religious ritual; it is a cultural tradition. For Iranians, Ramadan means the atmosphere of gathering around the Iftar table,👩👩👧👦 listening to the Rabanna prayer,🎵 and the excitement and anticipation of hearing the call to prayer.😊
I also tried to create that atmosphere in my own way. Together with my guests, I set up an Iftar table featuring a traditional Iranian Iftar.

🔸Zoolbia and Bamieh:
are traditional Iranian deep-fried sweets soaked in saffron and rosewater syrup, making them the most popular Ramadan dessert in Iran.

🔸Zereshk Polo with Chicken:
is a classic Persian dish consisting of fluffy saffron-infused rice mixed with tangy barberries (zereshk) and served with tender, spiced chicken.
🔸Sholeh Zard:
is a traditional Persian saffron rice pudding made with rice, sugar, saffron, rosewater, and cardamom, garnished with cinnamon and slivered nuts.
