When you think about Maharashtrian food, the first thing that comes to your mind is Dadar. Today, your favourite foodie, Kunal Vijayakar, is in Dadar, Mumbai at Mama Kane Swatchha Upahar Griha after many years! Way before the Partition of India in 1910, the resilient owner first settled in Dadar. This move brought the vibrant flavours of Maharashtrian home cooked food for the mill workers then, so much so that it’s been said that the batatawada was first started from this restaurant. This 114 years old legacy is still serving that batatawada and the lip snacking home cooked meal for the common man at nominal prices. We're diving into the rich traditional home style Maharashtrian snacks and Thali. Get ready to drool as Kunal takes you through some of Mama Kane’s best dishes. From the delicious Batatawada to the hearty and satisfying Maharashtrian Thali, to Aamti Bhaat, Misal Pav to Kothimbir wadi. 📍Mama Kane Swatchha Upahar Griha Address- 222 Smruti Kunj, Senapati Bapat Marg, Dadar West, Mumbai Watch the full episode and comment down below your favourite dish.
