Video Not Working? Fix It Now

In this video, the transient analysis for the first order RC and RL circuits have been discussed.
So, in this video, we will see the two kinds of responses for this first order RC and RL circuits.
1) Source free Response
2) Forced Response with DC Excitation.

1: Source Free Response

The source free response is the response of the circuit without any other kind of external excitation. In this source free response, it has been assumed that there is some energy stored in the reactive component (either or capacitor) and this energy is released during this transient period across the resistive element. So, in this analysis, we will find the equations for the inductor current and capacitor voltage during this transient.

2: Forced DC Excitation:

In this analysis, it has been assumed that there is no initial energy across the reactive element (either inductor or capacitor) and suddenly some DC voltage is applied to this circuits. So, in this analysis, we will find how the circuit behaves during this transient and we will find the equation for inductor current and capacitor voltage.

Shortcut Methode for finding the transient equations:

This shortcut method is useful for finding the output for source free response as well as for forced DC excitation.

Output= [Final Value]+[Intial Value -Final Value]*e^(-t/T)
Where T is the time constant of the Circuit.

And at the end, in this video, it has been discussed that how to find the time constant of the circuit, when the circuit contains more than one resistors.
