I am a huge fan of the DJI Osmo Pocket 3, but there are some situations where Pocket 3 is not a suitable camera. On those trips, I take a GoPro Hero 11, 12 or 13 Black with me too. But when I need to travel with a very lightweight video kit, one that I hardly notice in my bag at all, yet still delivers excellent video and audio quality, thats when Osmo Action 5 hits the stage.
Travelled frequently with Osmo Action 5 pro in the past few months. It is an ideal travel video camera that can be used in all conditions and for just about any activity. When paired with DJI's Wireless Mic 2 it becomes an almost perfect travel vlogging camera for those trips where you want to travel as light as possible.
In this video I share my thoughts on Action 5 Pro and Wireless mic 2. All of the segments are shot on Action 5 Pro at 4K/24fps, with the exception of the studio segments and the standing and talking bit near the beginning. The one with the Rode Wireless Mic on my hoodie.
