Sky News Business Editor Ross Greenwood says the Albanese government has been “emboldened” by Roger Cook's election victory in Western Australia.
Labor has secured election victory in Western Australia, confirming another term for the incumbent premier, Roger Cook.
“It will take all of Treasurer Jim Chalmers’ accomplished communication skills to deliver that budget. It will show more than a trillion dollars' worth of Labor’s own debt – and also deficits, or losses, in the foreseeable future,” Mr Greenwood said.
“That opens up a debating point about the spending of Anthony Albanese and his cabinet colleagues.”
