Tree Work: Basics of Negative Rigging!

Negative Rigging, it can be done efficiently with or without hardware. Negative rigging is the technical term, however we in the tree industry have come to know it as, "Butt-Checking". It in fact is a very violent form of rigging down pieces. During this process, extreme forces can be generated on the spar, the hardware, and can be hard on the climber's body. Negative rigging can be performed safely by taking safety measures.
