Hello everyone! Today, we are going to show you how I trim my quilts to get them ready for binding and finishing the quilt!
First, you have to understand the difference between these two words: True and Square!
True looks straight or looks square however, it may not be.
Square can be proven by math such as the angle is 90 degrees square.
When you are trimming your quilt top, try to make the corners square and the sides true! Everything will look just fine to people!
The hardest part sometimes is joining up the two cut ends together to look square so aim for true and hope for the best.
Remember to relax, put your feet up and breathe! Enjoy this process and be proud of what you are able to do.
Most importantly, quilting is about having fun not feeling pressured!
There is so many things to look at on a scrappy quilt that other people won't notice any little mistakes you make.
