Air India Trip Report flying from Delhi to Vienna, in business class, onboard one of the Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner on a lovely winter day.
An extremely comfortable flight onboard the Air India Boeing 787 Dreamliner from Delhi to Vienna on the Air India Business Class. A business class flight is, by itself, a very comfortable one but, if we add that only 9 passengers were onboard (out of 18 seats) the comfort grows even more.
After a nice exploration of Delhi airport (including the Air India business lounge) and a great planespotting session, we boarded the Air India Boeing 787 that would take us to Vienna. The business cabin of the B787 has 3 rows with 6 seats on each one. We were in the back right corner, perfect for the outside view as well as for the cabin.
We took off from Delhi and started our route to Vienna, in which we overflew India, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Turkiye, Romania, Hungary, and, finally, Austria. We landed around 25 minutes later in Vienna.
The catering service was really good, like an Indian Restaurant in the sky. A main service was offered around 1h after takeoff and a second service around 2h before landing in Vienna. Almost every plate was original or inspired on Indian cuisine, so you can imagine that everything was full of flavors and spices.
The crew was amazing, always checking if the passengers needed something but not being annoying. You felt that they were there at all times but were given the perfect level of privacy by not being at all the time the cabin. On top of that, they always referred to you in an extremely polite way. They made you feel at home from the very beginning.
