In this video, I show how to check and adjust valve clearance and also set cam chain timing on my 2018 Triumph Tiger 1200 XRx motorcycle as part of my 32,000 km (20K mile) service.
In order to get access to the camshafts, you'll need to remove the body panels, fuel tank and air box. Check out my 16,000 km service video where I show how to remove and install these: https://youtu.be/WDGzyvcOIZ8
You might also need to drain the coolant and get the coolant hose out of the way. Check out my coolant change video in case you need to do that: https://youtu.be/C65jt1c0bvU
Also check out my spark plug change video which is also required as part of the 32,000 km service: https://youtu.be/Zb43qCheFck
You'll also need to purchase the Triumph Service Kit (Part Number T3990016), which has all the new camshaft & crankshaft cover gaskets, o-rings, as well as new spark plugs, oil filter, air filter needed for a complete 32,000km service. You can purchase this from your Triumph dealer or online from eBay for example.
