Trump Delays Tariffs on Goods From Canada And Mexico As Trade War Keeps Markets On Edge | N18G
The US President Donald Trump on March 6 signed orders to significantly expand the goods exempted from his new tariffs on Canada and Mexico. This is the second time in two days that Trump has rolled back his taxes on imports from the two of biggest US’ trade partners. Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum thanked her US counterpart for the move, while Canadian finance minister said the country would in turn hold off its previously announced second round of retaliatory tariffs on the US products. Reports say that the tariffs may further be delayed if Trump is convinced with purported crackdown on drug trafficking by Canada and Mexico.
