President Donald Trump arrived back in Palm Beach on Jan. 31 for a weekend sojourn at his Mar-a-Lago club. Trump arrived aboard Air Force One shortly before 8 p.m. He departed the aircraft alone. First lady Melania Trump did not appear to have accompanied him.
It is not clear how the president will spend his 48 hours at the Winter White House in Palm Beach, but Trump often golfed at his nearby club on Summit Boulevard during weekend travels here in his first term.
On the day of his arrival in South Florida, the White House said it is Trump's intention to slap 25% tariffs on goods from neighboring Canada and Mexico starting Saturday, Feb. 1, so the presidential visit likely will be a working stay.
