Tubliss and Slime: Learn how to change a rear tire on a 2019 Yamaha YZ250X dirt bike with the Nuetech Tubliss System but also how it works best with Slime tire sealant added as well. You don't need any special tire tools for this install other than Irons and a bead buddy. But you don't need a tire stand, a Rabaconda or anything like that. Once you get it down, this will take less than 30 minutes including removing wheel from bike at a leisurely pace. There is nothing against Rabaconda's or Moose tire changing tools, they are just pricey.
Having the slime in the tire offers multiple benefits, one is that regular trail punctures are typically eliminated. We have had trail punctures and a lot of times we don't even know it happened until getting home and saw a little green spot on the tire. At that point you can just use regular automotive plugs and seal it back up. The second benefit is that the slime lubricates the tire and the inner bladder as they make contact during riding and eliminates wear spots on the Tubliss bladder. The final benefit that we have found is that the slime helps the Tubliss system seal better after the initial installation of the new tire as long as you get the slime in between the tire and the bladder the way we show you here.
