Holland America Flowers in Woodland Washington is one of the largest tulip producers in the country. They produce fresh cut tulip flowers all the way from January to July, not just April. Benno Dobe the owner puts the bulbs through a unique planting process and stores them in large refrigerators. A few weeks before he needs fresh blooms the bulbs are moved to one of his many Greenhouses. Tulips do not need as much light as most flowers, they are just seeking a little warmth and some light. 3 weeks after being moved to the greenhouses the flowers are harvested bundled and shipped fresh all over the country. @FlanaganHomestead
