I demonstrate how to turn a small end grain bowl using a faceplate. Most bowls are turned cross grain (face grain grain orientation) where the grain runs 90 degrees to the lathe bed. End Grain bowls are turned with the grain running parallel to the lathe bed. I explain the difference between a cross grain and end grain bowls and why woodturners turn mostly cross grain bowls.
I upload new wood turning videos regularly so Ya’ll come back, hear?
