We're finally doing a DAB tutorial. This is just looking at inductor, output capacitor, and turns ratio selection for a fixed frequency design. Selecting switches, a switching frequency and doing soft-switching would probably double the length of this video. Maybe another time.
0:00 - Introduction, Problem Def & Equations
5:00 - Choosing Turns Ratio
10:50 - Peak Power Operating Conditions
16:40 - Minimum D and Inductance
19:20 - Output Capacitance
30:00 - Worst Case Ripple
35:50 - Variable Input Voltage
38:40 - General Output Capacitor Selection
46:40 - Choosing n, and L worst case
CORRECTIONS:
at 23:30 I say Ip/n but write Ip/2. It should be Ip/n.
at 26:21 I included a factor of 1/n in the expression for Ip. It shouldn't be there as its accounted for in the output charge equation.
There may be some other errors I didn't catch so let me know if you find any.
