This is a tutorial showing how to use the Env-DATA System in Movebank. The Env-DATA System (Environmental Data Automated Track Annotation System) is a set of free tools on Movebank to help you link animal movement data with information from global environmental datasets, like weather models and satellite imagery. Current instructions are at https://www.movebank.org/cms/movebank-content/env-data. UPDATE: Note that the backend system described starting at 17:30 is replaced by the option to submit requests to annotate non-track data directly through Movebank. Follow instructions to "annotate generic time-location records" and "annotate over a gridded area" at https://www.movebank.org/cms/movebank-content/env-data-track-annotation.
