Tying and rigging the Dorsey Yarn Indicator

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

This yard indicator system was created Pat Dorsey out of Colorado. It's similar to a New Zealand indicator system, but I think it's even more simple and easy to use. It lands soft and is extra sensitive for those subtle takes, making it perfect for tailwaters and shallow-water nymphing. It can be tied in a variety of sizes to suspend heavier flies if required. Brush it out, add some floatant and this sucker will ride high all day. Materials: -Poly yarn: https://flyfishingcord.com/collections/all -1/4" orthodontist rubber bands: https://flyfishingcord.com/products/1-4-medium-elastic-bands-package-of-100 -Thread Buying one yard of yarn and a package of rubber bands is enough to tie a LIFETIME supply of yarn indicators, and gift some to your friends.
