What a mouthful. You'd think they could come up with a shorter name for this fly. It's a great one, though, as it combines the effectiveness of Gary LaFontaine's Sparkle Caddis Pupa with a tungsten bead and a Hungarian partridge collar. This fly is especially good when you see caddisflies flying around but no rises--you just know the trout are eating the pupas subsurface. Hook: Tactical Czech Nymph, sizes 12-16 Shuck and Bubble: Antron Yarn (tying with rust) Body Dubbing: Antron Hare or similar but any dubbing will work. Tying with brown. Rib: Gold or yellow Ultra Wire Hackle: Hungarian Partridge Thorax/Collar: Peacock herl Bead: Gold or brass tungsten bead to match hook size
