Apart from covering the history of the Udupi Sri Krishna Temple, then we covered other important temples within the main temple premises including a) Shri Chandramouleeshwara Devasthana b) Lord Anantheswara Temple. To taste authentic local Karnataka cuisines, we reached: a) Mitra Samaj Restaurant: Located within Sri Krishna Temple, Complex, Udupi. In this restaurant we tried the following items (i) Neer Dosa: Rs. 70/- (ii) Bullet Idli: Rs. 50/- (iii) Kesari Bath: Rs. 30/- (iv) Mangalore Buns: Also called as Banana Buns: Rs. 25/- piece b) MTR Restaurant: #4-5-18B, Ground Floor Near Govinda Kalyana Mantapa, opp. Manjunatha Service Station, Kinnimulki, Udupi, Karnataka 576101. The devotees in large number pull together the chariot with Lord’s idol placed in it around the temple’s premises and the circumambulation takes around 45 minutes to complete.
