How's it going everyone! In this episode, we'll be working on additional movement mechanics for our player character. Inspired by games like Destiny and Halo, this video covers sprinting, sliding, and double jumping. We'll likely return to this topic in the future with more refinements and features, but for now this episode lays the foundation for discrete movement modes and switching between them.
Over the course of this series, we'll be covering topics such as weapon sway, first-person camera animation, third person meshes, reactive HUD elements, and more! If you're interested in learning more about the topics mentioned above or FPS game feel-related mechanics in general, consider subscribing! Thanks for watching :)
