In 2023, Lamar Jackson won his second NFL MVP award, winning 49-50 first place votes... leaving him a hair close of a second unanimous MVP. Since then, Jackson's 2023 MVP campaign has notoriously been discredited due to his lack of stats compared to the stats of other quarterbacks such as Josh Allen and Dak Prescott, and the stats of his MVP predecessors. However, that's far from the case, as Lamar Jackson led the league with 10 wins over teams .500 or above... while eclipsing 4,499 total yards, 24 touchdowns, and a 102.7 passer rating on the year.
Despite the excruciatingly long wait, I feel like this is a perfect time to look back on the great year that 2023 was for Jackson, as he's currently playing the best ball of his life (and fighting for his case for MVP in 2024).

*quick note* This project was long in the making, starting in early February of 2024. I was in college at the time and it was coming close to an end. As I focused on academics, I would lose time for my editing schedule. Around June of 2024, I was almost done with the project and then it was deleted by an issue with my editing software. This felt like a punch in the gut, but regardless... I pushed through and wanted to share with you guys one of the most underrated MVP performances.
