I like to be able to climb silly stuff a scaler shouldn't be able to, so I use a pen-spring mod in my shocks. However because I like a nice beefy shock a regular pen spring mod won't work. Here I'll describe why I do it and how I do it using slightly larger springs so that they fit, but also so the suspension fluid can lube both sides of the spring to avoid any scraping of the piston shafts (yes I call then rods in the video, I was tired!).
