Social media users have ruthlessly mocked MSNBC anchor Joy Reid following the cancellation of her show.
‘The ReidOut’ has been a nightly program for the left-leaning network, with the host regularly slamming US President Donald Trump.
MSNBC’s decision to cancel Reid’s show, first airing in 2020, is part of a shakeup at the network.
According to sources close to the network, Reid’s 7 pm slot will be replaced by Symone Sanders-Townsend, Alicia Menendez and Michael Steele.
Users on social media quickly reacted to Reid’s cancellation, with many labelling the MSNBC host “awful” and “unhinged”.
“Joy Reid, aka the race lady at MSNBC, just had her show cancelled because it was unwatchable. Good riddance to the most vitriolic, lowbrow, and unhinged race hustler ever allowed on national television,” wrote one user.
