Today I returned to the Union Pacific San Pedro Subdivision to film the job out of Weeds Yard that serves the industries north of Slauson, YLA51. Today I caught most of the job's duties with the exception of Coast Packaging, which it switched before I got trackside.
When I arrived, the train was servicing its second customer of the day off the San Pedro Subdivision, Scott Sales Co, where it had just picked up empty hoppers. Here they ran around the rest of the cars cut off on the main, and then shoved in the loads from the back of the train. Then, the train diverged down the Huntington Park Industrial Lead, where they first switched AOCUSA, Norman Fox & Co, and then Crown Poly. They then departed back to the main, and headed back up the line to Weeds Yard, having switched the same five industries as the last time I saw it.
This job has since been split, and now YLA51 only does Coast Packaging before tying up and having the rest switched by an evening job. Thanks for watching!
